One thing I am is a heart-on her-sleeve kind of girl.
One thing I am not is a journal-writing-blogger kind of girl.
If we find ourselves on the phone, on a text thread or having a cup of coffee, you will get the update, but there is something about sitting down in my own thoughts and writing it out that I have never been able to keep up with. I mean, I would LOVE to use the excuse that I just don't have time with all of the balls I am juggling, but that isn't entirely true. Keeping you, my fellow art lover, collector, and friend up to date is an integral part of this "job" of being an artist.
So here I am, getting back at it and hoping to keep you updated on what is going on in my studio and life.
So far this year has been packed. For a quick rundown, here we go:
I was in two weddings back to back. Love you Sara and Amber!
I have worked on multiple commissions and started my first larger piece.
I had an Anthropologie pop-up here in Greenville. What a DREAM that was.
I have been helping manage things over at Art & Light Gallery
I have been training a new puppy (I swear Stoney wasn't as difficult...)
And just keeping up with the general home-making stuff...spring cleaning and yard work fun!
So there is the quick run-down and I promise to try and keep you more updated as the year goes on, but here are a couple of things to note:
I will be participating in a festival just outside of Charlotte May 19th - 20th. The Waxhaw Kaleidoscope Festival is an art-centered, weekend-long street festival and it will be my first. I am super excited to see how it goes and hope you can join me in Waxhaw!
I will also be taking commissions for wedding flowers/bouquets this spring. These deconstructed florals make the perfect wedding gift. To get on my commissions schedule, simply shoot me a message through the contact page.
Thanks so much for keeping up with me and my creations!
